Transportation to Geneva

There is an international airport in Geneva, 10km from downtown. The organizers of the conference will arrange the transport from the airport to the hotels. For those who are not too far,Geneva is also well connected by train. The hotels, conference center and common show location are all easily accessible by public transportation.

Lecture Hall

The conference is going to be held in the Stückelberg auditorium of the Physics department of University of Geneva.

Accommodation

There is no a commodation charge for participants who registered by 15th of march (paid by the conference). Due to budget constraints only twin rooms have been book. 

Participants will be hosted in two hotels :

• Le cénacle 
• Ibis Hotel, close to the train station

Both hotels are less than 20 minutes from the University with public transportation. Free public transportation tickets will be given to everyone. Breakfast is included into the accommodation.

Food, life and everything

Lunches can be taken in the cafeteria of university at the expense of participants. Many restaurants can also be found around the conference location. For dinner and other activities, the center of Geneva is less than 15 minutes from hotels.

Transportation in Geneva 

The best way to move around Geneva isby public transportation. Transportation tickets will be given to everyone. Here is the web page of public tranportation of Geneva. We do not recommend you to use taxis, which can be incredibly expensive.

Financial issues

Attendance to this workshop is free for two representatives of each show, including accommodation for 6 nights. However, because of our limited budget, we are not able to reimburse traveling expenses and lunches or diners. We are also not able to reimburse the accommodation of the extra members of a show. The support for enthusiastic people who do not have a show will be decided case by case.
